It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear about our two brave National Guardsmen who were ruthlessly gunned down just outside of the White House. These last few months, we have witnessed an ever-escalating wave of violence, in which all of the perpetrators have been united with this one common theme: they hold to an ideology centered around a hatred for America, our common faith, and the traditional values of our people.
These two brave West Virginians voluntarily extended their deployment to DC to protect families at our nation’s capital through the entire holiday season. Instead of spending time with their families, they made the decision and personal sacrifice to serve our country. Please keep them, their families, and the West Virginia National Guard in our deepest prayers.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. As we all gather with our families around the table, I think all of us should be thankful to God for these two brave West Virginians. May Christ be with them and their loved ones.
